Who:<\/strong>\u00a0 This Ten-Week After-School Program is open to all students of\u00a0Weekday Nursery School, in Northport, NY.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When:<\/strong>\u00a0 Ten Fridays from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.:\u00a0 January 11, 18, 25; February 1, 8, 15; March 1, 8, 15 & 22\u00a0<\/strong>(2019).\u00a0 The dates are\u00a0consecutive Fridays, except skipping Feb 22nd, due to President’s Week.\u00a0 Once classes have begun, you can still enroll for a pro-rated price, which we try to keep updated.\u00a0 It should be $23.00 per class.\u00a0 Please call Paula at (516) 338-0552 if you have any question.<\/p>\n

What:<\/strong>\u00a0 These \u201cCooking With Stars\u201d classes are designed to inspire budding chefs by creating a delicious recipe each week celebrating a new food holiday or theme. After each hands-on cooking workshop, Li\u2019l chefs will bring home their dishes to share with their family. More than just learning to cook, they will learn about food hygiene, mathematics of measuring, food chemistry, teamwork, communication, plus the featured tool of the week. Students receive a chef hat & apron and all recipes are posted online with photos and step-by-step instructions. There is a minimum of 10 students required to run this class with a maximum of 25 students.<\/p>\n

Why:\u00a0 <\/strong>A passion for food and cooking is a lifelong skill that\u00a0Chef Paula’s father instilled in her from an early age.\u00a0 There are many benefits to this.\u00a0 For example, families love that their kids retain their interest in preparing their own food and bonding over food related activities.\u00a0 The experience helps even formerly picky eaters discover they enjoy eating new foods with healthy and nutritious ingredients!\u00a0 Cooking also enhances confidence, fosters curiosity, and develops good habits.<\/p>\n

How:<\/strong> Seating is limited, so advance registration is required. Cost of this class series is $230<\/strong>, payable at the time of registration.
