General Information & Refund Policy

Before registering for CookingWithStars.com After-School Classes, please read this page, which provides the program’s policy information on registration, late pick-ups, and other topics.  By registering, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

The deadline for regular registration is 3 days before classes start.   Please register by this date.  Call Chef Paula at (516) 338-0552 with any questions.

Registration: To Enroll in a CookingWithStars.com After-School Program, the Parent or Guardian must register and prepay to secure their child’s seat in the program.  This can be done online (here).

  • Payment is due at the time of registration.
  • Once a child is registered for a class, there are NO REFUNDS given.

In Person Registration:

  • Please join us for the following events (for your child’s school)…
  • Ocean Avenue Elementary Welcome Fair, August 28, 9:00 to 11:00 AM
  • Weekday Nursery School Back to School Fair, September 6th, 9:15 to 9:45 AM.  Don’t be late!
  • You can pay with Cash or Check payable to “Cooking With Stars.”

Payment: Full payment must be made upon registration.  It is preferred that you register online and pay using the PayPal.com service.  You do not need a PayPal account and you can pay with your credit card.  If this is not possible, you can mail a check. Class fees are listed in the class descriptions. Payments must be made payable to Cooking With Stars.

Refund Policy: We regret to inform you that once a child is accepted and placed in a CookingWithStars.com class with sufficient registration there are no refunds. Placement in a class with friends/carpools is not guaranteed.

Transportation: The CookingWithStars.com program does not provide transportation. The parents or guardians are responsible for picking up their child, or authorizing a person or persons to pick up their child.

Late Pickup: Please be prompt in picking up your child at the conclusion of the session. If you are late in picking up your child, the child will be placed in Child Care and you will be charged by the hour as Specified by Child Care Policies.

Insufficient Registration: In the event a class is cancelled due to insufficient registration, you will be notified. Your payment will be returned to the address listed on the registration form.

School Day Procedures: All children registered for CookingWithStars.com classes should report to the usual class location at the conclusion of the school day. Attendance will be taken at the start of the CookingWithStars.com class.

Absences: If a child is not attending a CookingWithStars.com class on a particular day, please make sure to inform the front office of your child’s school, your child’s teacher, and the Child Care staff at your child’s school. Child Care has a mailbox at each school where a note can be dropped off.

Cancelled Classes: If due to inclement weather and the District cancels after school activities, or a class is canceled last minute due to the unavailability of the instructor, your child will be sent to Child Care (free of charge) until their normal pickup time. If you make other arrangements, your child’s school and the Child Care program must be notified prior to the beginning of the program.
